well it's been almost a year since i posted last and almost a year since i really felt i needed to. it's almost Kat's first birthday and she and her mother have just left for florida for 4 days..I hope they have fun down there. well.. that's about it.. til next year i guess

as a sidenote, i have no idea why livejournal insisted that i posted this at 1:08 in the afternoon when i really tried posting this at quarter after nine in the morning. in fact nikki called me to tell me that they got in okay at 1 in the afternoon.. meh..

Okay.. the official time of birth : 1:49am sunday October the 23, year 2005.
Katrina Ann Bean has officially joined our family.
I came home at 3 am cause i was too tired to do anything there and i would get NO sleep in those "daddy chairs".. they LOOK comfy... i'll leave it at that. so i come home..
I will be calling all family members and those who asked me to call em tomorrow, except for paige who said she was gonna be up all night anywho so to call her as soon as.. etc.
All that's left now is to brace oneself for the visits.

Edit: I mispelled her name, it was supposed to be "Katrina Anne Bean". I didn't realize Nikki planned on spelling Anne with an "E".

For those who may wonder about nikki's post about no game this weekend, it's because i really don't want any extra people around me for a few days. My grandfather passed away this morning and i'm really not in much of a mood to entertain or whatever... sorry.. plus what with neko next weekend -shrug- not much would have really been accomplished anyhow. As i said.. just an FYI.

how? how could i justify watching the dubbed One Piece? if you missed it, the intro they released earlier that just changed the lyrics to some really REALLY bad cheesy lines appears golden next to the ACTUAL lyrics they used.. some unholy hip hop thing.. i dunno.. then the "voice acting" (i use quotes because, my god.. it's just.. my god... just.. just kill me) gugh.. coby and nami sound like the same person.. for that matter luffy too.. just a deeper version of the same voice.. the soundtrack for the voices is a few decibals under the music track also so if you have it loud enough to hear the voices you're deaf from the music.. so you gotta keep turning it up.. it's a painful painful cycle..

okay.. i'll give em credit.. the first episode of this is actually the full first episode.. ie.. they didn't splice in other episodes.. the DID however edit out much of the violence.. they left 2 real hits in.. kicking coby in the ass and alvida getting punched/launched into the distance.. and the gum-gum rocket (yes luffy ate of the "cursed fruit") i guess was a hit.. oh.. it'll show AFTER someone gets hit but it won't actually show the hit.. and it cut out luffy bonking coby on the head.. like it's a message condoning violence to bonk someone sayin "stop bein such a whiner" i know i know.. i'm whining about this, but goddammit! they don't need to edit out a punch.. or a hit from a club.. or any of the rest of the crap they took out.. it's animated for chrissakes!

sadly.. the best part of that half hour was Hulk Hogan (usually with his daughter brooke) in the commercial breaks.. they alone put a smile on my face.. BROTHER!!

so.. the end of the episode ended as it should have.. luffy and coby sailing to the town where the pirate hunter is being held.. zolo.. not Zoro.. no no.. keepin his name the same would have been too confusing to the latino community apparantly.. "what? someone named zoro and he doesn't speak spanish? how can this be?" bah.. peckerheads i say.. peckerheads one and all!

this show has given me a headache.. oh and since when do pirates have southern accents? or lacking that, irish? i swear to christ.. all of alvida's pirates (includin alvida herself) either had a really REALLY thick southern accent or they spoke with a stereotypical irish accent.. you know the one.. the one they use for the lucky charms commercials.. i mean.. dammit.. "go geddum me hardies, hyuk"

don't know if the link will work but it's a cut that the foxbox is showing for 3 dif't new fall shows, one of em is One Piece, only one i looked at.. no interest in the other 2. i went looking to see when they were gonna start showing one piece on tv. no answer for that yet.. may be as soon as sept 4th. i saw the clip, i knew it was going to be horrible, but.. sore tooth syndrome.. just had to.

Next the good: i realize i'm reaching with this, but after watching that OP clip, i had to grasp any light i could.. Phish is down to 4 concerts, then they're done... forever..

i dunno.. some people like em.. maybe i only heard their worst songs.... but i had to hear an awful lot of em.. over and over and over and over, cause the radio station in my area growing up SUCKED after 1994 (before then they actually didn't have quite so many rules n didn't play a song more than once per day!) and i know.. why didn't i just shut the radio off? well.. in a store on a sunday that gets maybe 3 people after 8 hours, by god, i'll take the bile that radio spews out just to piss me off enough to stay awake.

so one piece.. zoro doesn't have a hispanic voice and is the only SLIGHTLY appealing voice featured of the 4 or 5 i heard in that clip (i wanna strangle luffy and nami's voices)

and phish.. glad to see you're at the end of your road.. ah.. now all those phish-heads n dead-heads that attached themselves to you like remoras will have to get real lives.. not that -I- have any room to speak, but JESUS CHRIST people... why.. how can you LISTEN to that swill?!?!? hrm.. takes all kinds.. i know i know.. hrm.. okay. enough rambling...

oooookay.. been awhile since i've posted.. nothing new in my life to speak of generally keeps my posts short and.. well.. few.. but i have to vent a little..

Primary Vent : One Piece.. i love this show.. so who do i find has liscenced it? the FRICKIN FOX BOX!! the same mental midgets that got ahold of and ruined Shaman King.. the same retards who's voices grate my ears every time i pass a channel with Yu-Gi-Oh (or however that friggin thing's spelled) on it. The self-same butt-scratchers that took The Vision of Escaflowne and re-wrote it into "Escaflowne" tearing the story to shreds and being unable to keep any of the damn names right.. --sigh-- mebbe it won't be THAT bad.. who'm i kidding? of course it will be.. hell, as nikki pointed out, they'll probably have Sanji talking with a smarmy french accent. i just cringe at the thought of Zoro n Mihawk's voices.. they haven't been able to field a decent voice actor yet..

Secondary Vent : Nikki purchased the new Link game.. -eye twitches- she didn't try it at all yesterday, so i figured well.. no melon-headed mongoloid child for the main character.. maybe it isn't that bad.. i'll give it a whirl... -twitch twitch- you get to carry 1 item other than a sword.. if you find a new one, the old one gets dropped.. however you find them when you need them rather than having them on hand in a sub-screen where they could be usefully stored.. ie a boomerang is picked up first, then it gets dropped for a firewand, which gets dropped later for a boomerang... not the one that was dropped before.. just some random thing laying in a cave, waiting to be snagged.. i'm not even gonna go into the voices.. cause it's already been said.. the same god-damned voice EVERY child link has had since the super nintendo.. OO! OO! except now there are 4 of em so you got it in stereo baby!! as a one player game you can control all 4 hooligans and do.. i dunno.. joint efforts? in one of 4 dift poses : box formation, horizontal, vertical, and cross... what do these do? make it easier to do yard work.. on the upside you no longer need the power glove to lift up the 5 pound rocks.. and the larger ones can be picked up if you stand in the right formation to lift them.. (remember lift with your legs!) overall i can honestly say i never ever EVER wanna hear those god-damned little runts again.. but considering it's nikki's game n she apparantly has a thing for androgonous bug-things, i'm gonna have to hear it over and over and over again -begins softly weaping-

ah.. where to start.. well.. it started as a boring old friday.. except, most everyone's gone.. so.. boring conversations. Worse.. we're out of coke.. hrm.. for a caffiene addict, it's a nightmare.. So.. i go out to get soda. hit every red light thinking "this sucks.. could only get worse by gettin pulled over for some stupid thing" so i'm checking to make sure my headlights are workin.. i'm not speeding that sort of thing.. just got the willy's over a bad premonition.. But.. i don't get pulled over.. i buy my soda and head home.. Stop at a red light.. waiting.. waiting.. BANG! "what's this" i think, " oh wait.. i'm movin forward... someone just hit me" i lurch forward and snap back.. rather hard.. not painfully, but considering how much of a whiner i am, i think it's due to shock... A few seconds later, i realize i'm still rolling, well.. that's no good.. but my foot was on the brake.. wait.. prolly got knocked off..okay.. stop the car.. shut the car off.. wait.. where's my cd player?.. scrounge scrounge.. can't seem to find it.. wait a moment.. i can't see for crap.. where the hell are my glasses? yes.. i believe it was a full 5 min before i realized i didn't have my glasses on.. i put my cd player on the seat next to me and start lookin for my glasses.. course the timing might be off.. i can't see the clock less than 3 feet away without those li'l pieces o' plastic..

god.. at least the other driver was honest enough to say it was her fault.. the police officer said so too.. but the greatest thing? i may have to scrap my car! oh the joy.. hrmph.. i friggin love that car.. but i won't know til the guy comes and checks it out to figure out if the frame is fugged up or just the rear passenger axle.. oh holiday weekend, you can suck my balls

i realize this isn't going to shatter anyone's world or anything, but i need to put down somewhere that today.. well.. yesterday technically as it is after midnight, i've quit eq.. it got too expensive to put up with that many children and was way, waaaaay too much work for a "game" to even be fun anymore.. so.. i put it behind me, leaving my friends i've made in the game behind, the only ones i cared about have (or should have) my e-mail, so i can stay in contact with them that way.. so i take away with me the better part of eq.. i can only hope that more people realze that the MMORPG's are just games.. it's not fun if people make it a stressful environment.. ah well.. enough petty bitching..

ok..so last night i watch what can only be described as the worst WORST ninja movie in recorded history... title? Ninja of the Magnificence. Reason for it's existance? to make mockery of any ninja or martial arts movie out there.. but spam will soon(LOL) be putting up his movie review of this cinematic treat.. but.. but.. my GOD this was a terrible movie.. it must be shared.
In and attempt to not repeat what spam will eventually post, i'll concern myself with the company that released this gem of a film : Imperial Entertainment. if there is no sense of feeling left in your eyes, go look for this company label... this company redefines disappointment. the first movie is one called "Black Eagle" in which we see a chinese man, whom spam claims has gone on to better films, but by this point has no cinematic integrity and agrees to work across from jean-claude van damme, who is portraying an evil russian agent(?) intent on destroying the poor little asian man (who by the by decides it's wise to kick a glass door and then roll in the glass shards).

the second trailer is on called "Obsession: the Taste of Fear" which must have been made in the mid 80's considering all the hair styles are inspired by the gods of hair spray. it's a soft core lesbian porn, i'll assume, since the main female lead is mainly taking pictures of nekkid women and is sleeping with.. a... woman? I say that this is a woman only because the face is still barely feminine and the breasts are barely larger than normal pectoral size, but other than that she looked like the Hulk in pancake powder make-up with a van halen wig on. By the way.. eventually you'll get to the point in the movie that this is a murder mystery hidden by soft core pornography.

the third movie trailer was so bad that the film itself cut it off before it could show the title, but we think it was called "The Uprising"? it's about a journalist and a photographer in south america trying to stop an uprising.. i think.. on the plus side it has some guerrillas torturing one of the bad americans (the photographer i think) with electricity straight to the nuggets! if that ain't good for a laugh, i don't know what is..

after all this, i must say that you need to see this ninja movie.. pester your local video store til they get it.. rent it once.. reccommend it to friends, just don't watch it alone.. as the old saying goes "misery loves company" and my god this was a miserable movie

blarg.. for those that actually do check, yes.. i have an lj and i do write in it.. i'll grant you this is my first post since.. um.. wow.. mid feb but still..
i suppose i could have posted since then seein as how i haven't had a job since the begining of march but really very little has been goin on in my life and i really don't like boring people with the details of nothing..
so why post now? um.. good question.. i really don't know.. i'm pretty sure i could give a rat's ass about having a public diary.. and nothin has really changed in my life.. mebbe its just wanting something else to do other than browse the net for work or wait for one of 2 temp centers to call.. even if this will only take a couple minutes to type up..
the last couple of months have been pretty.. non-eventful, we added a roomie and a half, gained a friend and effectively lost one in about a month.. month and a half, which is really too bad cause i thought she was pretty damn cool (don't ask the details cause i REALLY don't know),and have been livin on non-existent funds.. the joy... hrm.. not important. something good will work itself out eventually... by hook or by crook.

Singing in the workplace

ok.. this is a long-time coming for me.. i feel there is a time and a place for everything. The workplace, for me, is a place that should have a little bit of.. well, recreation to help keep us awake enough on 3rd shift to make it through the night.. music, for example, is a fine thing to keep people occupied. I work in a factory inspecting equipment that tests blood sugar levels... not exactly brain surgery so i bring in a portable cd player to listen to at night. other people in other areas bring in stereos and listen to them.. now i don't having to listen to cambodian and hispanic music.. i have my cd player and it drowns out there music if i don't want to listen to it.. sometimes i have to do a job that doesn't let me put my headphones on cause i have to move around to much and i'm forced to listen to the music of everyone else.. most the time that's fine too... they keep their general levels down so as not to disturb everyone else around them. However, i have to work with someone who considers themselves a cambodian virtuoso... not to be a critic or anything, but i sometimes listen to the cambodian music at the other end of the factory.. it's... ok.. not my cup of tea, but i can deal with it. This person i work with, on an almost nightly basis has decided to practice her singing in the plant to keep herself amused.. rather than getting a cd player, rather than getting a radio, she sings... badly. I swear to all that i hold holy, i would never wanna hear those sounds again.. it's like someone torturing a cat to words.. and, this is the really fun part, no matter how loud my music is, she sings at a pitch that pierces thru my cd.. gah.. she knows her singing gives me a headache.. yet she persists.. i'm going insane.. i don't want to complain to the boss because.. hm.. well i don't actually have a reason other than i don't like getting people in trouble, but geez.. it's getting ridiculous. feh.. hopefully she'll have something go wrong with her voice in the near future... give me a little peace.. bah

yay! i got sleep! not much, i'll grant you, but enough to make me happy. i wish this comp could make up it's mind.. yesterday i tried playing SC.. for a half an hour i couldn't get the damnable thing to startup.. said something about the startup exe. today i try it, works fine..feh. not that i'm complaining that it's workin again, but i wish it could decide whether or not it works. bah.. ok.. enough whining about that. i hope everyone had a good weekend, mine was reletively uneventful.. the friend that was gonna come up only ended up going to the mall, i kinda wanted to see him.. but i needed the sleep more. oh well. there'll be other times. catch ya all later.

wow.. 3 days in a row.. some kinda record for me lately... so.. i've been up now for a good ummm 23 hours and while i feel drained.. i don't feel tired enough to sleep, does that make sense to anyone? methinks i should force myself to bed, but i have the feeling that in a couple hours it'll become redundant.. we've got company coming over.. and someone ripped off his volume control years ago. the kid has mute and over-blown.. nice guy, usually. I'm not gonna complain tho.. at least he isn't like that pecker that was over here the other night.. bah.

so.. maybe i'll go to sleep.. but the allure of Final Fantasy X is so great.. and then theres starcraft.. and Jade Cocoon 2.. and.. everquest.. no.. scratch that last one.. i'm not playin that again til i get some sleep.. but there's Heroes of Might and Magic 3 to play, ya! sooo much to play.. so little time.. so who needs sleep? (falls over and passes out on floor)

anyways, i really gotta get out more.. even if it is to the (shudder) mall.. i'm becoming too accustomed to bein' a hermit...again.

Erf.. someone remind me again why i'm conscious right now? oh ya.. insomnia... i have currently gotten about 2 and a half hours of sleep after getting about 4 or 5 yesterday.. and not all at once either.. woo hoo! i do know that if my afternoon nap that i take before i go to work gets interupted again, there shall be bloodshed. I don't mind it when visitors come over... i just need them to be a little quieter so i can get the sleep i need..

yesterdays only highlight was using a new alchemy recipe on EQ. how lame is that? feh..

i think i should go now before i fall out of my chair.... i am too damn tired.

Okay... so i haven't updated in.. a month or 3. I would say that there was a good reason, but there isn't.. i just hate typing. and i'm pretty damn lazy. In retrospect tho, i haven't done much except work and try to sleep. I still play eq, usually not more than an hour a day except on the weekends... hm...i have no life.. aw well... I need to get back in to playing starcraft.. and i can't wait for Age of Wonders 2 to come out. Has anyone else out there seen a write up on this? It's an upgraded version of Masters of Magic, which is my favorite game ever. I've seen some screenshots of this game and ooo am i waiting impatiently for this! I truely hope it isn't a disappointment.

I realize this is a little behind, but i am very very very unimpressed with the fact that Nick is cancelling Invader Zim. I hope it gets picked up somewhere else.. maybe cartoon network... slim hope there tho.. feh.

argh.. i just wanna get some sleep.. but i have to go to work.. feh. catch ya all later.

AH HA!!! I GET IT NOW!!!... finally i understand the whole brolli thing for DBZ... (i know big build-up for nothing but nonsense) Brolli, i was told, was the original super saiyajin, then i read he was born on the same day as Goku, and it just confused the crap outta me.. but i get it now.. he's NOT the original.. he's called the legendary super saiyajin. The only reason he's called that is because he's the one the legend fortold would be reborn and destroy Freiza.. which he would have done if Goku hadn't done it first... not the origonal, but the legendary one nonetheless, born on the same day as Goku with a power level of 10,000. i finally get it... ahh... i can rest easy now... How do i know this? i watched the movie..

i think i may have also just out-tricked myself... i'm not tired at all... but i should be.. i've been up all night now, playing EQ.. why am i not playing now? you might ask? because they put the server down for another hour (supposedly.. i'm thinking 2 or 3 more..) i think i'll be able to crash around 5/5:30.. yes... that sounds like a plan...

(yawns) i is sleepy... i am playing evercrack at every available moment.. it's terrible.. all i know anymore is that i will NOT touch DAoC... if i do that, life is done.. i'd have to win a lottery in order to do what i want to anymore.. cause i'd be far too busy to work or go outside.. i'd stay in and order food... i'd need to also buy myself 3 computers.. one for evercrack, one for DAoC, and one for e-mail, aim and all that stuff..

i'm trying to ween myself off EQ with Lunar 2, but thus far, i keep getting sickened by the voice actors... maybe i should turn the volume off...

ooo, i heard a rumor of a new Bastard! TV series coming out... the bad news? it's in FRENCH!!! i don't speak french.. i don't ever plan on learning french.. my grandma's family knows french and that's more than enough french speaking in the family for me.. feh.. ok... i'm not gonna start bashing the french or canadians today.. i won't do it.. -sighs- if it weren't so damn easy tho... ok, all that aside.. since France is getting it now, we should be getting it in the near future.. so, i'll be content to wait.
